If you own a pet, find out all the by-laws around having one at River Creek Estates. Each building has it's own by-laws as each building is it's own corporation. I don't know about rules in buildings #2 to #5, but it's possible one building may not allow pets at all (I only know that building#1 definitely does allow pets). There may even be a restriction at a building as to how large a pet may be so it's important to know this before purchasing.
If you have a dog, find out right away where it's ok for your dog to do it's business. I don't have a dog, but I know it's not allowed for dogs to do their business around the pump house building. Instead, use the area designated at the North-West corner of the property. Throw away dog waste in specified containers that are outdoors, not in the garbage bins within the building.
Last time I checked, by-laws stated that a dog must be leashed and the owner must be in control of it at all times while in the common areas in the building and on the property. Again, find out as much as you can to avoid problems.
Parking
Always park in your own stall and don't abuse the visitors parking stalls.
If you have a visitor staying overnight and they are parking a vehicle in the visitors parking lot, I recommend letting a board member know so someone doesn't tow the car away.
Don't park in areas not designated for parking, such as the sides of a building or along the gates at the North-West corner of the lot.
People
Most people who live here are very friendly.
There are volunteers who act as board members while some others are on committees that take care of the grounds.
There are also volunteers who plant beautiful flowers along the river and creek sides of the buildings. They all do a fantastic job and I appreciate all the work they do for the the condo buildings and it's owners.
Be extra good to your board members, you never know when you'll need them to help you out!
